Norma Jean – The Anti-Mother

norma jean’s new album, the anti-mother, reeks of old thrice (as in, pre-vheissu) vocals and typical nj rah rah fake-grindcore brutality. combining those sounds don’t quite create a new sound that is wholly unique, but this is at least listenable enough if you remember to forget the greatness that preceded cory brandan. or maybe this album will just grow on me… i think i’m being hopeful here.

anyway. this is a leak; the album is to be released august 5th – on the same day as the faint’s fasciinatiion. enjoy!
