The Human Abstract – Nocturne

The band’s name references a poem of the same title by William Blake, an English poet from the 18th century. The Human Abstract is a technical/progressive/mathy metal band from California. Their 2006 album, Nocturne features many guitar sweeps and tapping sequences. These guys are talented. The rest of the band keeps up fairly well. The vocals leave me wanting more, but as I said, the guitars are great fun to listen to.
